Grace. I was really surprised when I looked the word up on Websters.com and among plenty of definitions of the word, the number 1 definition was – “unmerited divine assistance given to humans for their regeneration or sanctification.’ That is quite a good start for the definition from a popular online dictionary. Another definition was – “a disposition to or an act or instance of kindness, courtesy, or clemency.”
Sounds to me like there is application for this grace word for everyone. One where we receive something from our maker that we don’t deserve, but so desperately need. Plus, another type where we give kindness to someone else, even though they may or may not deserve it.
I could write twenty pages about this, but I won’t right now. You’re welcome. One of the results of a survey I put out to the blog subscribers of BrianSloan.net showed a high interest in getting spiritual encouragement as well as encouragement about other aspects of life.
So, I pulled out the song above that motivates and encourages me. I wrote it way back in 2005, just after Noah came off of the ark.
